At NES Pest, we specialize in professional bee elimination services designed to safeguard people and property from the growing threat of feral Africanized Honey Bees (AHBs). While bees play a critical role in pollination, AHBs are an invasive species in North America and pose a serious danger to humans due to their aggressive nature and unpredictable behavior.
We do not relocate bees. All of our bee calls involve unmanaged, wild colonies—not domestic, pollination-farm bees. These feral populations are not in decline, and relocation is not a viable option due to the extreme risk they pose.
A hive is a long-term bee residence with honeycombs, eggs, larvae, and an active Queen. Hives are extremely protective and will defend the colony aggressively.
Our Approach to Hive Elimination:
Vacuum extraction
Soapy water treatments
Approved chemical dusts, liquids, or vapor strips
After elimination, we strongly recommend removing all honeycomb, dead bees, and sealing any entry points to prevent reinfestation.
Important Note: There are no successful "live removal" techniques for these aggressive colonies. Hive bees will not tolerate being moved or managed.
A swarm is a group of bees temporarily resting as they search for a new hive location. While less aggressive, they are still dangerous—especially when disturbed.
Our Approach to Swarm Elimination:
Swift vacuum removal or controlled soapy water treatments
Minimally invasive procedures to protect nearby personnel
Same-day response when possible
If a swarm remains longer than 72 hours, it is likely setting up a permanent hive—often in unsafe locations like valve boxes, vehicle fenders, eaves, or electrical equipment.
Every bee job is assessed individually, with two main goals:
Protecting public and personnel safety
Minimizing downtime on site or at work locations
We respond quickly, professionally, and with the experience necessary to handle dangerous, fast-evolving bee activity on commercial and utility properties.
We respect and understand public concern around pollinator protection and Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). However, CCD only affects domesticated European Honey Bees used in agriculture. The feral Africanized bees we eliminate are not experiencing population decline, and their aggressive tendencies make them unsuitable for relocation or management.
We are committed to public education, safety, and the preservation of managed pollinators—not unmanaged, dangerous colonies.
